Common Sense by Thomas Paine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
AKA How & Why to start a rebellion
This books title is misleading. It’s actually a book about why the American Colonies needed to break away from Great Britain by force. It’s more of a reasoning for rebellion then anything else. It’s not really inspiring but it tries to make its points in a sensible manner. Clearly the ideas worked but seeing how he laid them out was interesting but odd because he ignores how it could all have gone wrong. Though that’s not the point of the book it is worth thinking about.
