Secret Wars by Jonathan Hickman
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Good idea but falls short
It seemed like a good idea but in the end it fell below its own expectations. This story is just a ton of filler. There are moments within it but nothing of real substance to it. Once the shock of various characters being shown in a new light wears off the rest of the story is flat. The conflict is really just about Dr. Doom being distracted with boredom. Just sitting on a throne is not enough so he lets things get out of control. In the end that’s what cost him everything he tried to do. That’s all there is to this book.

Space Pirate at work
This is a blog by an old, retired, no longer for hire Space Pirate. He covers things like Pop Culture. Politics, Sex, Money, Wrestling, People and whatever other silly things pop into that brain of his. We're not sure if he really is old. Or if he has truly retired from being a Pirate in Space. But we are sure of one thing, he loves talking about whatever is on his mind. Check out his old blog Geek-a-Tron on Google to see what he's done.

Review: V for Vendetta - The 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition
V for Vendetta - The 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition by Alan Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
An anarchist delight, if you miss the point of the story. I think this is a comic book version of 1984 more than some people would want to believe. You can understand why this was adapted into a feature film. The ideas in this comic have been taken by many others for a reason. It's become one of the more influential comics because it really is a great comic.

Review: JSA by Geoff Johns Book Three
JSA by Geoff Johns Book Three by Geoff Johns
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Gets rolling
This is where Johns found his groove and it’s smooth sailing from here. At this point the characters and stories all rise up to be a fun comic worth reading. The only fault is that this collection is out of order when you go back to book two. The Virtue and Vice crossover should have ended this volume not volume two.

JSA by Geoff Johns Book Two by Geoff Johns

Finds it’s groove
This is where Johns starts to establish himself as a great writer. You can see how well he understands the DC Universe in this book. There are different things that you can take from this book but you’re sure to appreciate something in this book.

Review: JSA by Geoff Johns Book One
JSA by Geoff Johns Book One by Geoff Johns
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Half truth
It’s not only Geoff John’s that wrote this book. It starts with Robinson and Goyer before it transitions to only Johns. The tone is different at the start but that eventually changes. This is the weakest part of Geoff’s run on JSA so don’t judge this book poorly.

Review: Fantastic Four: The Master of Doom
Fantastic Four: The Master of Doom by Mark Millar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Better then the first
It’s better then the first part of Millar’s run but barely. The whole Marquis thing was over the top but at least Dr. Doom did something kind of interesting.

Fantastic Four: World's Greatest by Mark Millar

It’s okay
Unless you are familiar with Millars other Marvel work this book is interesting. But if you are familiar with his work then this book is just okay.
