My rating: 2 of 5 stars
While well written, it is boring. It's boring in a predictable way. After a few chapters you realize this book will only get interesting toward the last two chapters. With nearly 30 chapters that means this book is mostly loads on exposition. Lots and lots of nothing happen chapter after chapter. All for the big reveal that monsters long forgotten are unleashed again on the world. That's only done in the epilogue. This was boring in a way that I'm amazed someone gets this book printed. I guess its the style of writing.
I read this book via NetGalley. I thank them for this book.
