Review: Daredevil by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Vol. 1

Daredevil by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Vol. 1 Daredevil by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Vol. 1 by Frank Miller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I'm reminded of why I believe Daredevil is the best work of his career. Many people point to his Batman work or the works at Dark Horse. They ignore that everything they like or dislike all started with his run on Daredevil. The good, the bad, and the ugly al show up at different parts in this book. The start is just him as the artist for the book. Towards the middle he becomes writer and artist. That's where The Kingpin begins his time as a Daredevil villain when before hand he was predominately a Spider-Man antagonist. Miller does an interesting job with him but it's nothing great. Overall this book has ups and downs to it. I had forgotten how much I don't like Millers square shaped drawing of people. Again the good, bad and ugly all in one book.
