Warhammer 40K mythology

If your a fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Ring, Starcraft, Dungeons & Dragons, The Walking Dead and Heavy Metal Rock music than I think you'll be a fan of Warhammer and Warhammer 40K. The company Games Workshop are behind the creation of this franchise. If you've heard of Space Marines and the Imperium of Man than you know a little bit about Warhammer. That is specifically the 40K or called the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Games Workshop create figures to be used when playing the Warhammer or 40K board games. Their small but your big imagination is what makes them worth buying. If you've ever wanted army men toys but boosted to a thousand percent of pure badass these are it. The franchise has spread out into novels growing the lore via The Black Library and the are even video games.

Here's the announcement trailer for the next game in the Total Warhammer series.

I found this on IGN. It's a good analysis on whats going on in the trailer above.

I've learned about the 40K universe more than the Warhammer universe. My best tool has been YouTube. I knew of 40K since 2010 but I didn't really dive into it until late 2012. If you want to get more on the lore of 40K I recommend checking out The Vaults of Terra channel. I've learned about the background of the universe from these guys because their very good at what they do. The videos aren't long or boring so you get the information and get onto to the next one. The thing I like about the videos is that I get to learn about the lore but can still but the books to learn more details if I like. Another group of video makers is 40K Theories but if your just looking for information on 40K lore just stick with the other guys.

Here's the trailer for the next Warhammer 40K game Dawn of War III. If you like Starcraft or are a Korean than these games should be your jam.

I enjoy that Warhammer just takes almost everything in science fiction and throws it all into one place. It is very over the top in many aspects of its story telling. There are many franchises in science fiction but Warhammer is carving out its own space in the world. If you haven't checked it out yet I suggest you do so. There's already been a digital animated movie done with 40K. I'm sure it's going to breakout soon so get on it now. I wrote about 40K in the old blog about Warhammer and The Vault of Terra. The whole thing has grown since but it's not going to stop anytime soon. If you like what you see than give them a subscribe since they update with new information often. Even just liking a video is a good thing.

Check out the videos to learn who these characters are. I'm using these two pictures for a reason. Care to take a guess as to why? Hint: Happy Easter.
