Review: Change Agent

Change Agent Change Agent by Daniel Suarez
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I was looking forward to reading this book. I heard the author had written some interesting near future books. The problem with this book was very simple. The antagonist were more interesting than the protagonist. I didn't mind the techno-babble, in fact I was looking forward to reading this book because of the techno-babble. The problem was as I read through the book I never cared for the main character. He was just some guy on the run. The parts when the antagonists were the parts that felt interesting. As the story progressed I had trouble wanting to come back this story. I did't want to read about the problem the antagonist was going to because I didn't have an emotional connection to what he was facing. The lack of balance of hard science and human drama was what made this book boring to me. This book is a movie waiting to happen but it would have change many parts of it to make the main character far more empathetic. The rest of the story is fairly straight forward and I dare say generic.

I received this book via NetGalley. I thank them for this book.
